8^th February 2008 - Obituary:  Ron Templeton

It is with the deepest sadness that we inform our members of the passing of one of New Zealand Darts Life Members “Mr Ron Templeton” of the Invercargill Darts Association on Wednesday 6^th February.

Ron’s involvement with darts was long and varied and as well has his may years of involvement at local level he also served as NZDC Vice President1983 -1990, NZDC Director 1991 -1994. He was made a Life Member of the NZDC in 1988.

Ron was also a very good player in his day and enjoyed many successes but perhaps his most memorable one was winning the NZ Men’s Pairs in 1969 with partner “Lex Turner”.

Ron’s funeral will be held at the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox St, Invercargill on Monday 11^th February at 2 pm.

The New Zealand Darts Council joins with the members of Invercargill Darts in expressing our sincerest condolences to Ron’s wife Lorraine and family members
