FORTY YEARS OF DARTING INNOVATION

Throughout its history as a specialist darts manufacturer, Puma Darts has always been regarded as a pioneer and a leader; a company that pursues excellence and a company for others to watch and follow.

Innovation continues to be the focus for Puma Darts, with a number of new announcements signalling that this is a company that won’t stand still or wait for others to catch up.

The first exciting announcement concerns Puma Dart’s legendary Bandit dartboard.

“Following on from our huge success with the Original Bandit, Puma Darts has now released the Bandit Plus board which takes our dartboards to the next level” said Managing Director Peter McCormick.

“The new composite edge and backing board give the board a clean modern look and the new mounting bracket makes the Bandit Plus even easier to install.  Players will be pleased to know that all of the qualities of the Original Bandit have been retained, and Bandit manufacturing continues to take place at our own facility in Katikati, New Zealand.  In short, Puma Darts’ boards still offer higher scoring and superior performance opportunities thanks to the investment we make in research and development across the range.”

New product development is not limited to dartboards, with significant investment in new plant enabling us to develop new styles and also expand our dart range to include the Puma Darts Viscount and Exterminator ranges.

Puma Darts is also releasing a new global brand – Shot! Darts.  has evolved as a result of Puma Dart’s desire to establish a truly international brand that it can take to every corner of the globe.  Derived from Puma Dart’s philosophy of excellence, every Shot! product has been manufactured with the care & attention you would expect from master craftsmen in pursuit of perfection.

Player announcements are next on the list with a number of world renowned players joining the Shot! stable.

“We are pleased to announce that we have now signed top US players Robert Heckman and Scotty Burnett as Shot! Ambassadors, and we’ve had New Zealander Warren Parry sign with us too,” said Mr McCormick.  “These players were introduced to the Shot! brand and philosophy earlier this year, and after working with our engineers to develop their own Shot! darts, they are signalling to the darts world that our new brand is a good one.”

The Puma Darts website has also had a face-lift and this will be showcased in December.  Joining Puma Darts online in the new year will be a new website dedicated to Shot! Darts and this website will feature profiles on some of the high performance darts ambassadors signed by Shot!

Puma Darts continues to be privately owned and managed by the children of founder John McCormick with its Head Office remaining in its original homeland New Zealand, a country renowned for its technical expertise and work ethic.

“I am convinced that we have some of the best darts designers, technicians and manufacturers in the world within our Puma Darts team, which is a primary reason for continuing to manufacture in New Zealand” said Mr McCormick.  “With our 40 year international network, strong distributor relationships, and increased web presence, we can lead the way from right here” he said.
